Come 2027, it is justice and fairness for Odigbo Local Government to replace His Excellency, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim (OFR, CON, PhD Cantab) as Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Ondo State.

There are three Federal Constituencies and six Local Government Areas in the South Senatorial District of the State.

The presidency of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) has been perceived as not favoring Odigbo, as it has not received any federal appointment despite being a stronghold of progressive politics from the days of:

Alliance for Democracy (AD)

Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)

All Progressives Congress (APC)

This is attributed to the influence of the Ondo population, which often determines election outcomes in the LGA.
